Ian Hallett

Ian Hallett is a Chartered Accountant with over 19 years experience in public practice in Canberra, including over 3 years as a Senior Tax Manager with Ernst & Young. He commenced practice as Halletts in 1996 and is actively involved in tax and business development consulting. Ian is an Accredited Mindshop Facilitator www.mindshop.com.au and provides strategic business consulting and system-related advice to clients looking to grow and develop their businesses.

Ian is the proud father of 3 young children, Max, Brendan & Sophie, so when he is not in the office, Ian can be seen “playing dad” with his three young children or enjoying the ambience of Tilleys watching a great band or cheering the Brumbies at Canberra Stadium or the Kangaroos at Manuka Oval (although his true football love is with the mighty Hawks). Ian "competed" in his first Marathon in April 2005 and has a bad does of "the running bug” competing in his third Canberra Times Fun Run for a respectable time of under 48:45 minutes for the 10Km course. He is also fast becoming a stockmarket junkie.

Ian holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Chisholm Institute of Technology (now Monash University), Melbourne and was admitted as an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1990. Ian is also a Registered Tax Agent and a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia. Ian serves on the Finance & Audit Committees of Northside Community Services and Rhodium Asset Solutions (an ACT Territory owned Corporation) and is also Honorary Treasurer of the ACT Enterprise Development Institute of Australia which runs the highly regarded ACT Enterprise Workshop Program.
